Martin Kim Luge is an interaction designer and media artist whose work dwells between human-computer interaction, storytelling and perception. He focuses on concepts and applications for empirical processes using digital media.
Martin Kim Luge was born in 1979 in Dresden, Germany. He started to discover New Media in 2000 when he worked as a graphic designer. In order to enlarge his knowledge and skill set about design, he started a multimedia|virtual reality-design study at Burg Giebichenstein University of Arts, Halle in 2004. In 2007, he continued his studies at the Digital Media Class of Prof. J. Sauter & Prof. J. Ängeslevä at the University of Arts, Berlin. In the same year, he also joined the team of Nik Schweiger, 3deluxe biorhythm, to experiment with light as an interactive medium to shape and design venues. In 2009 he had a chance to study for 6 months at the Media and Art class at the Tama Art University in Tokyo lead by Prof. Seiko Mikami. Finally in 2011 he graduated at Prof. Joachim Sauter's class at the University of the Arts.
